Allen's 2nd California Coastal Adventure

The first week of our expedition, we flew into Los Angeles to Carpentaria state beach. It rained a lot but we still did lots of activities.

The second day of our expedition we went surfing and boogey boarding. We wore wetsuits to keep us warm. We exercised before we surfed we jogged and did some yoga. I never surfed before. We enjoyed it and had fun being in the water. On second day the waves were twice as big as the first. I rode a wave on both a surf board and a boogey board.

On the third day of our expedition we went to Morro Bay state beach and walked on the beach and picked up rocks and shells and kept them. On the fourth day we climbed on a really slippery rock, did school in the library because it was raining.

On the fifth day we went to Big Sur state beach. In Big Sur we went hiking in the Ventana wilderness. While we hiked on the trail we saw some banana slugs and some us put them on our faces. It rained the whole time we were in the back country. Jeremy came and stayed with us for a couple of days.

In conclusion the trip was really fun and pushed us to our limits. We were challenged a lot by the weather.

  1. Sounds like you had a great time despite the rain! Surfing and boogie boarding sounds fun - maybe we can do it some time this summer. Hope you are having fun in Wyoming.

  2. Hi Allen
Gosh the weather has not been your friend but it sounds like you are having a spectacular time! I love the Big Sur area. I have always admired the surfers and have watched from a far. I love being at the beach, listening and watching the waves - on to your next adventure - I look forward in hearing all about it.
